I’ve been away in Andorra for the past week (more about that to come, I promise), but I am so glad that I’ve made it back in time to join in with this week’s Travel theme.
Once again, Ailsa has managed to choose a theme that is like the mothership calling me home. I take photos of doorways a lot. There’s just something about them that draws me in and begs me to shoot them. Sometimes they are ornate, sometimes plain and simply painted all one colour. They might have an interesting detail such as a decorative knocker, or the wood from which the door was made might now be so old and fading that it is a feature in itself. I’ve seen whole soap operas play out in a single doorway. These are some of the doorways I have stopped by on my travels, click here to see more entries.
Awesome photos! I love the door knocker – very cool.
Thanks Jessi 🙂 I think I found that one in Italy
