I took this photo in the summer. My parents and I had taken my niece and nephew crabbing in Fleetwood, and as we walked back to the car this solitary seagull circled above us to see if we’d caught anything that might interest him. It’s odd to see one seagull on it’s own, they usually attack you in flocks at the merest hint of any available food. I remember when I was a child and our school teachers would force us to eat our pack lunches outside in the summer. We’d have to huddle in a corner and protect our sandwiches with our arms the best we could before one of the seagulls swooped down and stole them.
