Another challenging travel theme from Ailsa this week. I’ve had to look hard through my photos to find some that represent Still. Click here to see the other entries.
First up, one of the MGM Lions in Las Vegas, and one of the few things in that whole city that doesn’t move, perform, light up or spray water. Plus, I like the way they look out over the strip like they’re guarding over everyone.
Further out into the desert now, to Joshua Tree, where the rocks do move but it’s so incredibly slow that they appear still.
And finally, the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. After years of specialist architectual, engineering and scientific work it is eventually now still.
I want to see these !
They are all great sights. If you make it to Pisa, I would definitely recommend paying the extra to walk up the tower (although it’s quite a bit more expensive than the other sights). There is a winding staircase around the inside, but only a few windows, and because it is on a tilt it’s really disorientating!
Wow, that sounds incredible. I’ll definitely make a mental note of this travel trip. I am enjoying all of the information I am learning.
