I think this week’s photo challenge is brilliant. I’m always trying to remind myself to look up, especially when I’m in the city, so the photo challenge gave me the perfect opportunity. There are so many things you miss when you don’t look any further than straight ahead.
I took advantage of the sunshine we’ve had in Cardiff this weekend to go into the city and see what was above me. Here’s what I saw:

I’ve always found glass ceilings interesting 🙂
That shot was taken from inside one the old shopping arcades in Cardiff city centre. I’m going to be writing a post about the arcades soon, they all have those incredible glass ceilings 🙂
Great City – I used to live there!
Really, where abouts? I’m from Lancashire originally, but I love it here in Cardiff. It’s such a fun place to live 🙂
I studied at the University and lived in Rhiwbina and took the train into the city every day. It was a long time ago – even before Queen Street was pedestrianised and the docks were redeveloped!
Yes it’s very different now, although thankfully I think they have pretty much finished redeveloping the city centre. For about two years it felt like we were living in a big building site!
nice UP views
Thanks – I got some strange looks kneeling on the floor in the city centre to get the shots 🙂
